The Role
We are seeking an innovative and experienced Implementation Lead to lead the design and delivery of STEAMe’s implementation strategy across clients and partners. Reporting to the CEO, this executive-level role oversees the deployment and success of our products - ensuring seamless onboarding, change management, uder adoption, and goal attainment.
The ideal candidate is a systems thinker with SaaS implementation experience, hard-wired for operational excellence and passionate about social impact work. You’ll lead teams responsible for client onboarding, training, product support and customer success — turning strategy into scalable impact.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Change Leadership
- Define and execute a scalable implementation and change management strategy aligned with STEAMe’s mission and growth goals
- Lead organizational implementation and onboarding initiatives that accelerate adoption, streamline processes, and drive long-term customer value
- Work cross-functionally to address operational challenges that arise during scaling or complex client deployments
- Develop department metrics to track implementation efficiency, customer activation, and time-to-value
- Champion an outcomes-based culture through data-informed decisions, feedback loops, and continuous improvement
Implementation Management
- Oversee end-to-end implementation processes — from project scoping to successful platform onboarding and post implementation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with STEAMe leadership to ensure seamless integrations and high-quality delivery
- Establish scalable playbooks, resources, and best practices to ensure consistency and excellence across customer engagements
- Design, deliver, and continuously refine enablement programs and materials for internal teams
- Lead continuous optimization of systems and workflows to improve efficiency and customer experience
- Build trusted relationships with clients and partners, ensuring their success through proactive communication and strategic alignment
Strategic Talent Management
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing Implementation and Change Management team
- Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and creative problem-solving across the organization
- Ensure resource allocation and capacity planning align with company priorities and customer commitments
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in SaaS or technology implementation, operations, or client delivery, experience in senior leadership preferred
- Proven success leading complex implementations, change initiatives, and large-scale training programs
- Strong understanding of enterprise onboarding and customer enablement frameworks
- Experience developing and delivering training for both internal teams and external partners
- Strategic thinker with exceptional execution and communication skills
- Passion for social innovation, workforce development, or education technology
- Executive level or Senior leadership experience
Environmental Job Requirements & Working Conditions
- Based in Chicago, IL
- Hybrid work environment — 3 days remote, 2 days in-office
- Up to 25% travel for client and partner engagements
